Things to Do

A R Reflections River Cruises ('M V Reflections')

The "M.V. Reflections" is an 11 metre (35 foot) trihull cruiser, offering you an unforgettable wilderness experience cruising the Arthur River on the island's wild and unpeopled west coast.

You travel for 15 kilometres (nine miles), first to the river mouth then slowly upstream past the junction of the Arthur/Frankland rivers. This is as far as our vessel can access. The birdlife along the River includes the rare Azure kingfisher, robins, ground thrush and sea eagles. If you are lucky you may spot a platypus (best seen at dawn or dusk or on overcast days).

The journey continues to Warra Landing where you disembark onto the elevated walkways for a gourmet lunch served under cover in the peaceful surrounds of the rainforests of Warra Creek Valley. The gourmet lunch includes wines, coffee or tea.

A guided walk through the enchanted rainforests of Warra Creek Valley to Warra Falls follows lunch. All walkways are level to suit all ages.

Complimentary coffee or tea is served before departure.

Bookings are recommended.

A R Reflections River Cruises also offer value packages containing accommodation and river cruise.

Arthur River Reflections Cruise and Rainforest Walk Tour on Board 'M V Reflections'

This tour departs daily 1015, returning at 1630, and heads up the Arthur River past the junction of the Frankland and Arthur Rivers.

The area is recognised and protected for its myrtles, sassafras, celery top pine, laurels, blackwood and giant tree ferns.

As you cruise upstream on board 'M V Reflections' this lush greenery is reflected in the still tea-coloured waters. High above the river bank white bellied sea eagles are perched in the tree with commanding views of the river.

An abundance of bird life can be heard and seen. You can catch a glimpse of Azure kingfishers with their distinct brilliant blue and orange colourings. Platypus may be spotted in their own habitat.

Your senses will sharpen with the scents of leatherwood and sassafras. On the return voyage the white bellied sea eagles become the stars of the show as they gracefully swoop above the boat.
