Bicheno by the Bay
Bicheno by the Bay offers self-contained accommodation on Tasmania's stunning East Coast. Overlooking the Tasman Sea, sit back and enjoy the scenic view. There are 19 individual timber cottages ranging from one to four bedrooms. Each has their own fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom, separate bedrooms and living area. Each cottage also has a covered carport and a private deck. The main bedroom has a queen and the remaining rooms are mainly appointed with single beds. Depending on your needs the 'A frame' foreshore cottages are suitable for couples and the four bedroom accommodation will sleep up to nine. The mid-range cottages are ideal for a family or two. There are also four motel style rooms with guest laundry and a two room motel suite sleeping four. More than three acres of surrounding bushland is filled with eucalypts, acacias and native plants. Keep an eye out for local wildlife including possums, wallabies and yellow tailed black cockatoos. You are perfectly positioned to explore the Freycinet and Douglas Apsley National Parks. Stop by local wineries and choose a bottle to enjoy on your deck at the end of the day. Bicheno is just over a two-hour drive south-east of Launceston (174 kilometres).
Bicheno Cabin Park
Bicheno Cabin Park offers 18 self-contained ensuite cabins at Bicheno, on Tasmania's picturesque east coast. They offer different types of ensuite cabins. Choose from the Deluxe, Standard or Two to Three Bedroom Cottages. All cabins are non-smoking and some have air conditioning. The main bed is made for guests and linen for bunks is supplied. Each cabin has cooking facilities (cooktop or full stove) with microwave and refrigerator, heating and televisions. Cots and highchairs are available. There is a children's playground, guest laundry and free barbecues. They are only 500 metres from Waubs Bay beach and 800 metres from the town centre. Book a penguin tour or wander along the foreshore walk on dusk to spot little penguins. Visit the Blowhole, East Coast Natureworld, local wineries, or Freycinet National Park, where you will find magnificent Wineglass Bay. Bicheno is just over a two-hour drive from Hobart (178 kilometres) or Launceston (170 kilometres).
Bicheno East Coast Holiday Park
Bicheno East Coast Caravan Park is located on Tasmania's stunning East Coast in central Bicheno. There are one and two bedroom self-contained cabins and apartments available at the park. This accommodation includes private bathrooms, cooking facilities with microwave oven, fridge, cook-top, television, heaters, linen and blankets. Studio apartments can accommodate up to four guests and the other apartments can sleep up to six. Cabins are well suited to four or five occupants. Powered and unpowered sites are also available. Hobart Airport Tourist Park is conveniently located a few minutes from the Hobart international Airport. Just 15 minutes from Hobart, it is an ideal base from which to explore southern Tasmania's renowned attractions like Sullivan Cove, Salamanca Market, historic Richmond, Port Arthur and the Tasman Peninsula, as well as the East Coast. You will also be ideally located within five kilometres of several golf courses, lovely beaches and much more. There are 37 modern self-contained two-bedroom cabins that all have the facilities you would expect including LCD television and WIFI availability. Two one-bedroom cabins that are specifically designed for people with a disability. The caravan and motorhome sites consist of large flat concrete bases and some are all grass with all modern facilities needed including a centrally heated amenities block and laundry. There is a well-equipped camp kitchen with barbecues, refrigerator, microwave, television and more. Several sites have their own ensuite. A dump point is also provided for caravaners and motorhomers.
BIG4 Iluka On Freycinet
The Big4 Iluka Holiday Centre offers cabin, hostel and camping accommodation on Tasmania's Freycinet Peninsula. Located at Coles Bay, the property is a two-and-a-half hour drive from Hobart (212 kilometres). The accommodation includes self-contained timber cabins overlooking Muir's beach and Great Oyster Bay. The open-plan cabins have a queen bed in the main bedroom and four bunk beds in the second bedroom. There is a fully-equipped kitchen, lounge, dining area, and bathroom and each cabin has a covered deck and carport. There are also two-bedroom Cosy Cabins with one double and two single bunk beds, a fully-equipped kitchen and bathroom. The backpackers' lodge has a choice of four-bed dormitory rooms, a family room and one double room. Sleeping sheets are provided. Powered and unpowered campsites and on-site vans are also available. Facilities include a communal bathroom, camp kitchen and children's playground. The Freycinet National Park is one kilometre from the village of Coles Bay. You can do a number of walks within the Park, including to world famous Wineglass Bay. Go sea kayaking, take a fishing tour or perhaps explore the coast from the air on a scenic flight.
BIG4 Kelso Sands Holiday & Native Wildlife Park
Kelso Sands Holiday Park is a caravan and cabin park on the Tamar River, Northern Tasmania. The holiday park is set on almost 15 hectares (36 acres) of park-like grounds bordering the Narawntapu National Park. Kelso's range of accommodation includes self-contained three-bedroom family cottages accommodating up to nine guests and well-appointed two bedroom ensuite cabins sleeping up to six.
