Mona and Moorilla Estate offers a rare and exciting combination of wine, food, art and luxury accommodation. Specialising in boutique cool climate wines Moorilla shares its location with MONA - Hobart’s infamous Museum of Old and New Art and home to Australia’s largest private and thought provoking art collection.
Mona, the Museum of Old and New Art, is Australia’s largest privately-owned gallery and museum. Showcasing the diverse collection of its owner, Tasmanian gambler and maths nerd David Walsh, Mona exhibits everything from ancient Egyptian funerary objects and modernist masterpieces to a word waterfall and a machine that mimics the human digestive system. The Mona site—perched on the banks of the River Derwent, not far from Hobart— is also home to the Moorilla Estate, Tasmania’s second-oldest vineyard and its state-of-the-art winery, as well as luxury accommodation, bars, a restaurant and more.

Mona is located eleven kilometres north of Hobart, Tasmania—approximately twenty-five minutes by ferry, or twenty minutes by road.
Bookings are essential and subject to availability at time of booking. As alcohol is served all guests must be over the age of 18 years. No cancellation fees charged if more than 72 hours notice is given within 72 hours 100% of the experience price will be charged. Please advise any dietary requirements at time of booking.
