I'm old, about 100 years, and I'm a bit rough around the edges - but that is currently being revitalised, both inside and out. A new bathroom & new beds help to improve the relaxation experience. There is a large table for meals, TV, Blue Ray Player and movies. A secure bike storage area and deck have been built out the back, together with a large cement area and fire pit out the front - to enjoy quite beers and reminisce about the epic day you have had riding the Blue Derby tails.

Look out for the white bellied sea eagle that passes every morning. Body boards and wetsuits are available for use. You can choose to bring your own supplies for the length of your stay, ask for the gourmet food basket or head to Swansea, Bicheno or Freycinet to sample the local restaurants. Avalon Coastal Retreat is around a two-hour drive north of Hobart and around the same drive time south-east of Launceston. Nearby is Freycinet National Park, vineyards, oyster farms to visit or the best strawberries at Kate's Berry Farm.
