Freycinet National Park which is Tasmania's oldest national park alongside Mt Field National park it is located on the Freycinet Peninsula & named after French explorer Louis de Freycinet. He was part of Nicolas Baudin's 1802 expedition to chart the Tasmanian coastline. By the way it is pronounced Fray-sin-a. 

Then it's off to the Heritage highway (State Highway 1) which offers a real change in scenery from harsh granite mountain and white sandy beaches to the charming towns of Ross, Campbell Town and Oatlands
