The company is Tasmanian based and is Australia's largest single malt distillery. The products are gaining recognition and growing in popularity in Australia.
Our Visitor Interpretation Centre gives you the opportunity to experience a Whisky Walk, tastings, gift shop and cafe.
Taking a Whisky Walk you will experience the distilling process first-hand, view the bond store, enjoy a tasting of cask strength whisky and have an opportunity to bottle your own 'Distiller's Choice' premium whisky, complete with a certificate of authenticity.
Whisky Tasmania Pty Ltd established in 1997 is located on the north west coast of Tasmania and trades as Hellyers Road Distillery. Hellyers Road Distillery is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Betta Milk Co-operative Ltd. Established in 1956, Betta Milk (100% owned by Tasmanian farmers) processes and supplies fresh milk to the Tasmanian market.
Our background in dairy processing carries over to our alcohol production and results in our unique premium products.

Enjoy a fully guided amble through our working distillery and be shown the ingredients and processes that deliver one of the finest boutique single malt whisky's in the world. You'll get to touch and feel the ingredients, smell the latest batch distilling and view the pristine environment in which we make our whiskies, vodka and whisky cream. You'll also gain an historical insight into the man who inspired our burgeoning brand - Henry Hellyer.
A very special part of the Whisky Walk enables visitors the opportunity to pour and wax seal their very own bottle of Hellyers Road, complete with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
Your walk will be completed with a visit to the area that houses the American oak barrels, such an essential component of the unique end product.
