There are 4 distinct wine regions in close proximity to Hobart, and over 100 sub-regions with some unique aspects of terroir. To understanding the scope and variety of Sth East Tasmania’s wines we have broken down our tours into 4 areas – Your guided tour may cover 1 or more regions in the one day. The wineries/vineyards visited each day will vary due to the vagaries of living “on” and “off” the land. Each day’s itinerary is up to the people we visit who own and work the land. Emergency netting, Seasonal duties, pump failures, weather conditions, etc all play a part in our schedule. We will know our day’s adventure 24 hours before departure.
Coal River Valley and surrounds: Deep, rich soils, black cracking clay above rich limestone veins and an abundance of water - an ideal place to grow grapes and make wine. Derwent River Valley and surounds - the influence of the Derwent and Limestone.
Huon Valley and the Channel Area - Colder; later ripening.

We do not offer refunds
You may make changes to your booked guided tour up until 48 hours prior to departure without incurring a penalty. You can book a new guided tour immediately or if you are unable to book a new tour date immediately we will happily hold the value of your tour in the form of a credit which will be valid for 365 days from the date of original Tour. Once a tour is rescheduled no other changes are available. Cancellations within 48 hours of your tour’s departure means that a credit or refund or rescheduling is unavailable.
