If you’re from Sydney or Melbourne or even Brisbane and just coming to Tassie and more specifically Nipaluna / Hobart what would I do? Hmm… of course, it depends on one’s interests, so here are a few of my thoughts:

Now saying all of the above, what would an immersive traveller like myself do in 2 days? Well, here goes…
Arrive at my CBD hotel
Pick up a rental car (of course I’d get the Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre to sort this out)
Morning - Drive to the Huon Valley
Hike Hartz Peak
Visit the Geeveston Visitor Information centre and find a platypus on the Platypus Walk
Lunch at a local winery or café
Afternoon - Visit the Huon Valley Grove of Giants (I am a huge giant tree fan)
Drive back to the city and spend the evening around Salamanca Place

Early Morning – Have a coffee and brekkie at a café in historic Battery Point
Visit the Farm Gate Market in Bathurst Street
Visit the Mawson’s Hut Replica Museum, and the Botanical Gardens and enjoy the city
Late afternoon – Visit a winery in Richmond
Evening – Relax and walk along the waterfront
